How One Man Could Build Stonehenge
Thursday, 29 March 2007

Wally Wallington has demonstrated that he can lift a Stonehenge-sized pillar weighing 22,000 lbs and moved a barn over 300 ft. What makes this so special is that he does it using only himself, gravity, and his incredible ingenuity.

There's something quintessentially American about this. Some engineering-minded guy building his own Stonehenge on his property, just for kicks.

I would have thought that there would be more interest in this guy's project -- it could be extremely relevant to ancient history, not just regarding Stonehenge, but the pyramids, monoliths, and all the other megaprojects from the pre-industrial age. His techniques are exactly the kinds of things that clever people might have come up with 3000 years ago.
