the thing about religion is that its like a club. jews, christians and muslims are groups of people that survive together with the same ideals. forget the fact that they believe in gods, etc, the interesting thing is that they survive as a group for millenia. think about that. how many groups of people survive thousands of years? Only religious groups do.. because their faith takes their beliefs beyond death. Its part of evolution as well, even though religous people may not believe in evolution, they are stil part of it.

Belief in evolution does not exclude you from believing in a God (even stated in this video, if you watch it). Epic fail.
Also, 'i' before 'e' except after 'c'. Red squiggly line didn't mean anything to you? Intelligent discussion with competent contributors is much better.

You have it all wrong, humans and apes evolved from a common ancestor. Just different branches of the tree.

While it is true that religions last for a long time. That is cause the current religions(which started out as cults) got bigger and eventually began killing other who do not believe in them. Christianity and Catholicism started cause of a Roman torture/death sentence. IT is true that religion lasts a long time, but it eventually gets small and reverts back to a cult. Then after a while it gets popular again. Statistics show that Christianity and other religions are loosing its followers while Hinduism is getting popular very fast. Christianity and Catholicism may be the big ones on earth now but Hinduism is going to be the big one in a hundred or so years. Currently Wicca, is getting popular again after decades of being at the near brink of extinction. The Christian/Catholic ties to Wicca and other pagan religions may be what saved Wicca from dying off all together.

To "Mary Del Rosario" so you pity the "godless people" arent you not supposed to judge them. Not sure what your religion is but some religions state that even if a person does not believe in their god but follow the same morals as they do (s)he will be let into the after life while a devoted follower who judges harshly all those who do not believe in the same religion the same will be punished for treating others cruel. But since the current pop-religions stayed popular was by changing the structure of they rules and beliefs in order to both keep their followers and gain more. Some of the pop-religions even go as far as to brain wash the children into believing only things that are part of their religion before they even start to learn about truths and facts taught to other kids their own age.






You can be both smart and religious, but you can't be both at the same time since you need to believe in things that are to far out to be real.

This is a great, informative video that really explains the theory well in layman's terms. Unfortunately I doubt a Creationist would/could sit through all this blasphemy. This is the only debate out there where both sides cannot actually reason with each other, because then there would be no religious people left if we could.

Wow, this is shoddy logic. So your proof that evolution happens, is present a bunch of equations and say, "there see, it works!". Then you say, "well in real life its much more complex and vast and large." I don't disagree with your statement of mutations, or that mating and hunting occur. No one argues with that. But all your little 1s and 0s, at the end of the simulation, no matter how many times you run through it, will be 1s and 0s. If your ones and zeros turned into parrots or watches, or even 2s I'd be impressed. Summary: Try harder.
