I've never heard ANYONE voice the opinion that "racism" goes much deeper than just skin color. I think it's part of the "herd" or "tribe" instinct. Witness the current round of violence in Kenya. Though individual acting ability is paramount to a films success, it is all still about money. Controversial issues such as racism may be percieved to be detrimental to the total box office reciepts.
